Gatespace Telematics changes name to Makewave

Change reflects the company's strong focus on providing superior OSGi technology and Java based middleware products and services.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, May 16 2007, Gatespace Telematics AB, a leading provider of OSGi technology and Java-based middleware solutions, today announced the change of its corporate name to Makewave AB, effective immediately.

The change of company name is a step towards creating a strong company profile, identified as the prime, cross-industry supplier of Java-based middleware and core OSGi technology and competence. The change also marks a foundation for our continued international expansion.

"The change of name is a consequence of our success with our products and services beyond telematics" says Christer Larsson, CEO and founder. "Our products Knopflerfish, Ubicore and Lime are used by several Fortune500 companies in such diverse business segments as printers, Java enterprise systems, vehicles and telecom equipment. We have simply grown outside being a telematics only company" Christer Larsson continues.

Makewave's products and services, synonymous with advanced technology and high quality, will all be linked under the new company brand name. The products include the OSGi Service Platform Knopflerfish Pro, the remote management system Ubicore, and the license management system Lime.
